Self Transformation

Oh ew... Who is that?

This was my favorite project to come out of my Sculpture class. We had to create some kind of sculpture we were a part of, or a "Self-transformation".

For mine I was told I wasn't allowed to make a mask, since I was already making those on my own time. I wanted to make something with moving parts; and while struggling to reach the top shelf in my room I got an idea!

So I made a giant arm. Totally no inspiration drawn from X'amd for D. Gray Man or anything. Nope. X'D

I should mention it's made out of card board, fur fabric, and some plastic string. The three fingers on the top of the hand move, albeit clunky, but they do move.

There is a glove inside the arm that I attached the plastic strings to, and when I curl my fingers the fingers on the hand curl in also. The cardboard was bent with the grain, so it uncurls back again when I release pressure.

I couldn't see the cardboard lasting too long though, but it was a fun project!
